我对中国发展的看法

With the deepening of China's reform and opening up, the demand for all kinds of talents has increased, including foreign talents. The Chinese government has also introduced some relevant policies to attract foreign talents to study, work and start businesses in China. Based on this background, Zhongguancun Talent Association, as an NGO focused on the field of talent, provides a platform for foreigners to share and communicate with each other so that they can express their ideas and opinions on living, studying, employment and entrepreneurship in China. Meanwhile, it can provide more references for related industries, enterprises, and even relevant government departments to create a more livable environment for foreign friends. To that end, an interview series was created. The series of interviews is entitled: My views of China development.
随着中国改革开放的不断深入，对各类人才的需求不断增加，其中也包括外籍人才。中国政府还出台了一些相关政策，以吸引外国人才来中国学习、工作和创业。在此背景下，中关村人才协会作为一个专注于人才领域的非政府组织，为外籍人士提供一个交流分享的平台，让他们在中国生活、学习、就业、创业等方面表达自己的想法和看法。同时可以为相关行业、企业甚至相关政府部门提供更多的参考，为外国朋友创造一个更加宜居的环境。为此，我们制作了一个采访系列。这一系列访谈的题目是:我对中国发展的看法。
We are pleased to have invited Ms Shikha Thapa Magar, a lady from our neigbouring country Nepal, she’s been staying in China for eight years since she came to China in 2015 as a foreign student and currently she is the Chief Community Officer at SCOLAR Network. Let’s take a look at what Ms Shikha Thapa Magar will share with us about her views on China development.

1、When did you come to China? Why did you choose your current job or field on entrepreneurship? What appeals you in Beijing? 你什么时候来中国的?你为什么选择现在的工作或领域来创业?北京有什么吸引你的?
I came to China in 2015 to pursue my Master's degree in Baoding city, Hebei Province. I chose my current job as the Chief Community Officer at SCOLAR Network because I am passionate about connecting with youth and my role allows me to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds on a daily basis. Additionally, my job provides me with opportunities to broaden my knowledge and expertise in the fields of education, cross-culture, and entrepreneurship. Beijing, being the capital city of China, offers a wealth of opportunities that challenge me to grow and achieve more. The vibrant and talented youth community in Beijing, like the one fostered by SCOLAR Network, is particularly appealing to me.
我于2015年来到中国，在河北省保定市攻读硕士学位。我之所以选择现在的工作——斯科拉网络首席社区官，是因为我热衷于与年轻人建立联系，我的角色让我每天都能与来自不同背景的年轻人接触。此外，我的工作为我提供了在教育、跨文化和创业领域拓展知识和专业知识的机会。北京，作为中国的首都，提供了丰富的机会，挑战我的成长和实现更多。北京充满活力和才华的青年社区，就像“学者网络”所培养的那样，特别吸引我。
2、China has seen improving international entrepreneurs in recent years. How do you feel about starting a business in Beijing? What are difficulties in different periods? 近年来，中国出现了越来越多的国际企业家。你对在北京创业有何感想?不同时期的困难是什么?
Starting a business in Beijing is both challenging and full of opportunities. There is a lot of competition, but if you are willing to work hard and persevere, there are ample chances for success. The difficulties faced during different periods may vary. For example, in the initial stages, it can be challenging to navigate the market and establish a customer base. Later on, as the business grows, managing growth, scaling operations, and staying ahead of the competition become crucial.
在北京创业既有挑战，也充满机遇。竞争很激烈，但如果你愿意努力工作并坚持下去，成功的机会还是很大的。不同时期面临的困难可能有所不同。例如，在初始阶段，引导市场和建立客户基础可能是具有挑战性的。后来，随着业务的增长，管理增长、扩大运营规模以及保持竞争优势变得至关重要。
3、How have you learned about different laws and regulations on businesses and gotten license in China? Have you gained support from local ones? 你是如何了解中国不同的商业法律法规并获得执照的?你得到当地的支持了吗?
I haven't personally started a business in China, so I have limited knowledge about the laws and regulations related to businesses and obtaining licenses. However, our company has received support from local governments, which has helped us navigate certain aspects of the business environment.
我个人没有在中国创业过，所以我对中国有关创业和获取牌照的法律法规了解有限。然而，我们公司得到了地方政府的支持，这帮助我们在商业环境的某些方面进行了导航。
4、How do you view tech and digital economy progress in China in recent years? Are there opportunities and boons for you? 您如何看待近年来中国科技和数字经济的发展?你有机会和福利吗?
The progress of the tech and digital economy in China in recent years has been remarkable. China has surpassed the West in many areas, including mobile technology, e-commerce, and digital payment systems. Innovative applications such as WeChat and Alipay have revolutionized the way people interact and conduct transactions. China is also at the forefront of advancements in green energy and artificial intelligence. These developments present significant opportunities for me to learn from and potentially bring back to my home country, where similar technologies are still developing.
近年来，中国科技和数字经济取得了令人瞩目的进步。中国已经在许多领域超越了西方，包括移动技术、电子商务和数字支付系统。微信和支付宝等创新应用彻底改变了人们互动和交易的方式。中国在绿色能源和人工智能方面也处于领先地位。这些发展为我提供了重要的学习机会，并有可能带回我的祖国，在那里类似的技术仍在发展中。
5、How do you think of opportunities in the Chinese market? How have the market and Chinese consumers changed in recent years? 你如何看待中国市场的机会?近年来，市场和中国消费者发生了怎样的变化?
The Chinese market offers numerous opportunities. While the market experienced setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the recent reopening and the Import and Export Expo, China has become a central hub for global trade. The integration of automated technologies in ports has made import and export processes more efficient. I see immense potential in the Chinese market, especially as the country continues to open its doors to the world.
中国市场提供了大量的机会。虽然市场在新冠肺炎疫情期间经历了挫折，但随着最近的重新开放和进出口博览会，中国已成为全球贸易的中心枢纽。港口自动化技术的整合提高了进出口流程的效率。我看到了中国市场的巨大潜力，特别是在中国继续向世界敞开大门的情况下。
6、China has been opening up various sectors and improving business environment. What are fields that need further improvement for you? 中国不断扩大各领域对外开放，不断改善营商环境。你在哪些领域需要进一步提高?
In my opinion, the field of education for foreigners in China requires further improvement. It would be beneficial to provide similar opportunities and academic structures for foreign students as those available to Chinese students. Additionally, there should be better career prospects for foreign talents after graduation to attract and retain international talent.
在我看来，外国人在中国的教育领域需要进一步改善。为外国学生提供与中国学生类似的机会和学术结构将是有益的。此外，外国人才毕业后应该有更好的职业前景，以吸引和留住国际人才。
7、As social and economic activities resume this year, how have your businesses been? What are your future prospects? 随着今年社会和经济活动的恢复，你的生意怎么样?你的未来前景如何?
Like many businesses worldwide, our operations were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. China's strict policies to control the spread of the virus also affected local businesses. However, as social and economic activities resume, it is important to prioritize remote work capabilities and be prepared for potential future disruptions. Looking ahead, I am optimistic about the future prospects of businesses and remain adaptable to changing circumstances.
与全球许多企业一样，我们的运营受到COVID-19大流行的严重影响。中国控制病毒传播的严格政策也影响了当地企业。然而，随着社会和经济活动的恢复，重要的是要优先考虑远程工作能力，并为潜在的未来中断做好准备。展望未来，我对企业的前景持乐观态度，并将继续适应不断变化的环境。
8、What are the reasons that you join ZTA（Zhongguancun Talent Association）and what kind of service do you expect from ZTA? 你加入中关村人才协会的原因是什么?你希望从中关村人才协会得到什么样的服务?
I joined ZTA (Zhongguancun Talent Association) to explore more opportunities and establish connections in terms of business prospects for foreigners in China. From ZTA, I expect to gain a better understanding of the dynamics and intricacies of running a business in Beijing, along with the services and support they offer to foreign entrepreneurs.
我加入了ZTA(中关村人才协会)，为外国人在中国的商业前景寻找更多的机会和建立联系。从ZTA那里，我希望能更好地了解在北京经营企业的动态和复杂性，以及他们为外国企业家提供的服务和支持。
